why book an in-person survey

An in-person survey is a great way to get a tailored removal quotation depending your needs.

For in-person surveys,  most customers receive a quotation the next working day. During the survey we will ask you a few questions about the services you require such as if you would like us to do the packing and if you have any valuable or sentimental items that need special packing.

Images of special items can be captured during the survey, which helps the packing crews understand your requirements. As you walk around each of the rooms our surveyor will use our inventory system which automatically calculates the volume as each item is entered. After the survey we can discuss a timetable with you.

Book your video survey

A video survey is a very convenient way to get a removal quotation. It’s quick, highly accurate and most customers usually receive a quotation on the same working day. Book your survey in 3 easy steps!

  • Arrange the day and time for the survey
  • Download and install the Microsoft Teams app to your mobile or tablet
  • On the day and time of the survey open our email and click on the link
  • You will connect with our trained surveyor at the time & date agreed upon via live video

how to join the survey

Please click on the appropriate link below to download the Microsoft Teams app ready for your appointment.

On the day of your appointment, you will receive an email from our surveyor, inviting you to a Microsoft Teams meeting. To join the meeting, please select the option that says ‘Click here to join the meeting’. If you have a Teams account, sign in using your credentials, or sign in as a guest if you don’t have one. Next, you will be prompted to allow access to your camera and microphone, click ‘OK’ to proceed. This will enable you to join the meeting. Once you’re connected, make sure your camera and microphone are turned on, as shown in the image below.

Prepare for your survey

During your Video Survey, we will need to see all of the items that you will be moving. Here are a few simple things that you can do, prior to your scheduled appointment, that will help us to conduct the Video Survey as efficiently as possible:

  • Fully charge your mobile phone (or tablet)
  • Connect to your wifi network (if available)
  • Be prepared to open up all wardrobes and cabinets and drawers (especially in the kitchen)
  • Be prepared to turn on all lights
  • Have ladder access and a light to the loft/attic

On the day and time of your appointment we will email you a link. Please click on the link and the app will connect your device to ours.

During the survey, you’ll guide us through your home while discussing your specific service needs, such as packing requirements or handling valuable items. Our surveyor uses an advanced inventory system to calculate the volume of your belongings as you go, ensuring precision. Following the survey, we can outline a detailed timetable for your move.

To prepare for a video survey, follow these simple steps:

  1. Arrange the survey date and time with us.
  2. Install the Microsoft Teams app on your mobile device or tablet.
  3. On the day of the survey, open the email we send you and click the provided link to connect with our surveyor.

Ensure a successful video survey by preparing your device and environment:

  • Charge your mobile phone or tablet fully.
  • Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network to ensure video clarity.
  • Open all wardrobes, cabinets, and drawers, particularly in the kitchen.
  • Turn on all lights for better visibility.
  • Have a ladder ready for attic or loft access if applicable.
  • We will send a link via email on the day of the survey; clicking it will connect your device to ours using Microsoft Teams.

A video survey takes often as long as an in-person survey, around 30 minutes to 1 hour.
